If you want a glow, try this delicious Cacao Acai Bowl! Acai is one of our favorite superfoods because it's known for it's antioxidant properties and is amazing for your skin. For this recipe, we used Ibiza Superfoods Acai Powder, which is a rich source of anthocyanins, a potent antioxidant that gives the acai berry it's purple hue, and is an excellent source of Oleic Acid (omega 9) which nourishes your skin from the inside and out. What's not to love about this superfood?
This recipe, balanced with antioxidants from the acai and fresh berries, iron and calcium from the cacao, and healthy fats from the almond butter, is the perfect way to start your day.
Total time: 5 minutes Serves: 1-2
1/2 banana, frozen
1 tsp of acai powder (find Ibiza Superfoods Acai here)
1 packet frozen acai
1 cup mixed berries
1 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp almond butter
1/4 cup almond milk
1. Freeze the banana overnight before making this recipe.
2.Add all ingredients to a blender and process until fully combined. If the consistency is too thick, add more almond milk, and stop blending to scrape down the sides as necessary. Once the fruit is combined, blend for an additional 1-2 minutes.
3. Serve in bowls topped with granola, fresh fruit, coconut, and cacao nibs if desired.
